The FIRM
The firm was first established in Manly in 1988. The firm was a general legal practice with a special interest in Family Law and it continued that way until 2004 when we relocated our Manly office to our branch office at Randwick.
The branch at Randwick was established in 1999, in premises a short distance from our current site. In 2005 we moved to our present site in an old bank opposite Marcellin College.

THE STAFF
The principal of the firm, James Doyle was admitted as a solicitor in 1979, having previously been on the Role of Barristers for 6 years, whilst working in the NSW Attorney General’s Department in Courts of Petty Sessions (now Local Courts) and with the Clerk of the Peace (now the DPP) and the Public Solicitor (now Legal Aid.) James commenced practice on Randwick with Salmon Connolly & Co in 1979. The firm name changed to Salmon Connolly Doyle in 1982, when he became a partner.
This solicitors' practice at Randwick was established by John Salmon in 1953 and was the first full time legal practice in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. In 1998 James moved to Manly. A branch office of Frances Mary Doyle & Associates, Solicitors was later established at Randwick in response to client demand.
James is a highly experienced and dedicated lawyer who is happy to spend time with his clients. He has a particular interest in wills and estate planning and frequently assists people with the difficult task of planning for succession including preparation of Wills, Powers of Attorney and Appointments of Enduring Guardians. Besides assisting with all aspects of wills and estates he can also assist with other legal matters.
When not in the legal office you'll find him sailing or relaxing with his fishing rod!
